Question
Q: Hi Bryan, I just saw item 350230590886 the Windy Shores II timeshare you were selling and almost bid but had a question. Not sure if you can answer but being as you are well versed in timeshares, we would prob trade each year for warmer place and I didnt know the probability of being able to trade this unit (white week 7) with RCi and get a caribbean place or Myrtle beach in the summer? Any idea?
A:The best way to do that is to bank your timeshare as soon as possible and then put in a request for a ongoing search as soon as possible. The other trick is if you are willing to travel 6 weeks or less then you can trade any color/size timeshare for any other timeshare. Normally between those two strategies it works out.

Minnesota Timeshare for Sale Free 3 Years RCI Luggage (350233434347)
Q: do you have any cancelation fees if I dont want to keep it after some years? how much does RCI charge to transfer my week to another resort? can I split my 2 bed in to two one bed and used them on different weeks at no extra cost? Example:use one bedroom on spring break and one bed on summer. can I buy extra weeks thru RCI after I have you my week?
A: Okay the ownership is a deeded property. So it can be sold or willed. The only way to be an RCI member is to own a timeshare. It is free to bank your week and then it costs 164 dollars to exchange your week when you find a resort you want to exchange with. This 2 Bedroom is not a lock out that one side can be use and one banked. You either use the 2 Bedroom or Bank it. Once your an RCI member you will get access to tons of extra vacations very cheap. See my blog for a list for August. http://emidsouth.blogspot.com/

Combining Points and Weeks Ownership with RCI
Q: It says in your ad (for inventory purposes only) does this mean I can go anywhere else in the world? Can I buy more points? I was just wondering how this works? My sister just bought (at a resort) 2 weeks with 4 "bonus" weeks. How do your points compare to that? Thanks for your time. Dec-04-08
A: Yes! The benefit of points is that you can use your points anywhere and it's perhaps more than a week's ownership, this is the whole "point" of points... The points are used within RCI's worldwide network (the biggest exchange network out there). You will always hold the deed to this particular property, and should you ever just want to defer to what is deeded you can let RCI know (I can explain that more if you like). This is an every other year award, and the bonus is that that this purchase includes 69,500 points free...and then your next award will be in 2010. From there on out, you'll receive 69,500 points every even year. You can bank points up to two years as well, and you can borrow from future years. It's INCREDIBLY flexible and people love this about points ownership. Additionally, if the resort that you just purchase from is NON-POINTS resort, you can bank one of your weeks as points, and add to your account. Finally, in terms of "bonus time" through RCI, if you can look at availability in their network within 45 days of travel, and book at "Extra Vacation" for 9,000 points. This may be a great combination for you...happy to answer any further questions.
