Understanding RCI Points Purchases with eMidsouth, Inc.

Q: I would just like to better understand this offer.I buy 66.5K RCI points. These points are allocated every other year. So first in 2010, then in 2012 and so on.For this each year I need to pay $358 in fees + 124 to RCI.If I don't want to stay at this resort, I can select any other RCI silver resort? Are the points worth the same amount, ie is it an equal trade or is there a penalty or fee to use the points elsewhere? This time share is for week 14, can I use the points for any week of the year?are there other closing fees other than the RCI membership/transfer? If so please advise all in cost.Regards,CM

A: Wow--you got it perfect. You would pay your fees in January, but you would have access to your points as soon as it's transferred (4-6 weeks). With points, you can reserve at ANY RCI resort; this is why people love them so much. And yes, with RCI, points are points at any resort. You can even use your points to reserve at non-points resorts through RCI, any week of the year. You can also use them increments, meaning long weekends versus needing for 7 nights. This is especially nice for multiple-site vacations (i.e. 3 nights at one resort, 4 in another) or for resorts that might be close to your home. This price includes all costs, and your next payment will be just the MF due in January. We take care of your first year's points membership fee to RCI when we set your account up for you. Happy to answer other questions, and feel free to give me a call. Best,Francene Watson509.288.4015
